Seminar Nasional Perubahan Iklim
FISIPUNTAN, Jakarta. 16 November 2023 – Sebuah seminar nasional dengan tema “Perspektif Daerah: Rekomendasi Penanganan Perubahan Iklim untuk Pemerintah Mendatang” digelar di Kridangga Ballroom Lt 1 Hotel Century Park, Jakarta pada Rabu (15/11/2023).
Kegiatan diselenggarakan oleh Yayasan Perspektif Baru bekerja sama dengan Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik (FISIP) Untan, dan didukung oleh Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS).
Seminar Nasional Perubahan Iklim
Seminar Nasional Perubahan Iklim perspektif daerah ini menghadirkan sejumlah pembicara, antara lain:
- Prof.Dr.Ir.Siti Nurbaya Bakar, M.Sc, Menteri Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan RI
- Dr. Deni Suarsana, Representative of KAS Office in Indonesia dan Timor-Leste
- Prof.Ir.Dwikorita Karnawati, M.Sc, Ph.D, Kepala Badan Meteorologi Klimatologi dan Geofisika (BMKG)
- Dr.Ardhasena Sopaheluwakan, Kepala Pusat Layanan Informasi Iklim Terapan BMKG
- Dr. Herlan, M.Si, Dekan FISIP Universitas Tanjungpura
- Dr.Harmona Daulay, M.Si, Wakil Dekan FISIP USU Medan
- Chalid Muhammad, Ketua Institut Hijau Indonesia
- Hayat Mansur, Ketua Yayasan Perspektif Baru.
Dalam seminar tersebut, para pembicara menyampaikan berbagai rekomendasi penanganan perubahan iklim untuk pemerintah mendatang. Rekomendasi tersebut antara lain:
- Perlunya optimalisasi pusat studi atau pusat penelitian lingkungan hidup yang fokus pada kajian sosial, politik, dan kebijakan, baik daerah, nasional, maupun luar negeri;
- Perlunya sosialisasi yang terus-menerus dilakukan berkaitan dengan peraturan lingkungan hidup pada masyarakat termasuk pendekatan kepada keluarga dalam rangka mengubah mindset masyarakat akan pentingnya penanganan perubahan iklim bagi keberlangsungan kehidupan seluruh makhluk di muka bumi;
- Perlu adanya sinergi dan kolaborasi multistakeholder dalam penanganan perubahan iklim
- Perlu adanya inovasi dalam program-program penanganan perubahan iklim;
- Perlu adanya ketegasan pemerintah dalam menegakkan peraturan dan kontinuitas program dari pihak pemerintah pusat dan daerah dalam penanganan perubahan iklim;
- Perlu adanya alokasi dana khusus dalam APBN & APBD untuk penanganan perubahan iklim;
- Perlu adanya optimalisasi pemberdayaan dan pelibatan komunitas pemuda dalam kebijakan penanganan iklim;
- Perlu menumbuhkembangkan kearifan lokal dalam pelestarian lingkungan untuk penanganan perubahan iklim.
Seminar ini diharapkan dapat memberikan masukan kepada pemerintah mendatang dalam penanganan perubahan iklim. Perubahan iklim merupakan isu global yang membutuhkan penanganan yang serius dari semua pihak. Pemerintah, daerah, dan masyarakat perlu bekerja sama untuk mengatasi isu ini.
